Evidence-based research has supported the idea that learning these approaches and skills vastly strengthens the ability to connect compassionately with oneself and others, as well as to resolve differences peacefully. Reports also indicate that the benefits are not only stable over time, but actually increase.

One such study was done by Dian Killian of the Center for Collaborative Communication. Significant benefits for both employers and employees were found as a result of workplace communication training, including greater efficiency, effectiveness, motivation and team work.
